I’m a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician trained by and a member of The Child Passenger Safety Association of Canada (CPSAC).

I provide car seat checks and car seat installations in Toronto, Ontario in the North York area. I follow a checklist created by CPSAC, so you will need to allow about an hour for your check.

When you book a Car Seat Check with me you can expect to learn how to correctly install your car seat all on your own along with how to correctly harness your child, how to dress them during the winter in their car seat and a lot of other great car safety information.

You will leave feeling empowered and confident that your child will be riding safely every time they are in the car.

What You Get

1 Hour Car Seat Education and Installation Session that includes:

  • Ensuring your seat is legal for Canada

  • Helping to determine if your seat is safe to use if it is second hand

  • What you should or shouldn’t use with your car seat

  • How to appropriately dress your child for riding in a car seat

  • Education on Best Practice for Car Seat use versus Good Practice (the bare minimum)

  • Education on UAS weight limits

  • Education on when your car seat is outgrown and/or expired

  • Education on sleeping in car seats

  • How to handle possible projectiles while driving in the car

  • Proper positioning of car seats in the car

  • Guidance on how to correctly install your car seat into your car all on your own so that you have the confidence to re-install it if you should ever have to move it to another vehicle

  • How to correctly test to ensure your car seat is installed correctly and tightly

  • How to correctly harness your child in their car seat and test to ensure the harness is tight enough

  • Help with troubleshooting any issues

  • Have a professionally trained car seat tech give everything a once over so you leave feeling confident your child will be riding safely every ride

  • A scanned copy of the seat check form

  • A brochure that guides you through the stages of car seats with tips on how to determine if your child is ready for the next stage

  • Additional educational videos shared through email after the check
